Is A Two Day Hangover Really Worth it?

My answer is yes. Two days of being hungover and nursing myself back to functioning health was way worth it. I’m not sure what was more fun. Dancing, dancing with friends, dancing with a beautiful girl, taking pictures, watching an artist, staring at the lights and lasers, feeling the bass vibrate the inside my chest cavity, people watching… If i had to choose one i really couldn’t because all of the elements i just mentioned are the ingredients that make up the perfect formula for what made this past weekend so much fun.

Whether you were at NORAD, BETA, Cervantes, The Gothic, Casselmans, The Fillmore, The Ogden, The Blue Bird, Summit Music Hall or Red Rocks this past weekend doesn’t matter. What matters is if you truly had fun or not. A lot of people go out and get rowdy, and I mean ROW-DY, and say they had fun but come Sunday they’re hating life, curled up in fetal position on the bed muttering the infamous words “I’m never ______ again.” We’ve all done it and been there but what you really need to ask yourself is “Did I have fun and is this shitty feeling worth it.” In my case, yes, this weekend was absolutely worth the two days of feeling groggy with a slight headache and upset stomach. Why? Because i was with people that made it worth it. Partying solo can be fun and sometimes necessary but when you’re rolling with a crew, and i mean a real close tight knit crew not just people you get together and party with every now and then, you feel this sense of togetherness that cant be paralleled. Ive been to a ton of shows with a lot of different people and i must say that when you have a group of 10+ people all grouped together on the dance floor toasting drinks and passing joints that is when you make true happy memories that will last a lifetime… So long as you don’t get too twisted and blackout hahaha.

If you’re one of those people that are coming to these shows specifically to get twisted and are constantly waking up Sunday morning with a killer hangover and no recollection of who played my only wish for you is that one day you look up, pay attention to your surroundings and realize how much fun it all actually is and that you can come to these shows sober (yes you can, I do it more often than you think) and have just as much fun and actually REMEMBER it. If youre one of the “fans” that enjoys dancing, dancing with friends, dancing with a beautiful girl, taking pictures, watching the artist, staring at the lights and lasers, feeling the bass vibrate the inside your chest cavity, people watching and what not then I’m sure, like me, you think that its totally worth it and will do it again and again and again until you physically cant do it anymore… or at least until you cant afford it anymore. Be safe and rage on kids :)
