Some seriousness went down this week! Silkie & Lotus Drops absolutely crushed Larimer Lounge on Tuesday along with a victory by ADHDJ in the E-Tuesday battle. Nico Luminous rocked Cervantes on Wednesday and Machete absolutely destroyed NORAD last night! The week inst even close being done yet either. Tonight is PENDULUM (DJ set) Fury & Coult-45 @ Beta. There will be a sweet mix of Drum and Bass, Drumstep and Dubstep bumpin out of those Funktion-One’s.

To all my mountain town Bass Heads, we didnt forget about you. Sub.Mission is taking over The Tap House in Steamboat Springs and bringing Demon (Macabre Unit Digital Records), Coult-45, Caustik & Curlyone. Shit is real in The Boat Saturday night!!

WHAT…A…WEEKEND!!! Friday night at the Animal House Tour was absolutely insane! The electricity in the atmosphere in Beta was immeasurable. Bro Safari & ETC! ETC! played to packed house (So packed I couldn’t get up front to get snap shots of the DJ’s) and Denver went OFF to every bass filled drop they had to offer. You can see pictures here!

Also if you missed the Denver Zombie Crawl and After Party we have pictures from both events here. It was quite the experience. Ive never seen full families participate in a Cosplay event this big. Everyone from kids to the elderly were dressed up as zombies, survivors or victims and played each part VERY well. Even Umbrella Corps Denver came out to show off their Resident Evil get up. Sub.Mission Dubstep held down the beats in the Red Bull MXT and then slayed us @ Casselmans later that night with some Basscrooks & Lotus Drops. All in all it was a great weekend and although its now Monday its never to early to start prepping yourself for the weekend. If you need your bass fix sooner than later the one and only SILKIE is playing Larimer Lounge w/ Lotus Drops tomorrow night. Don’t forget we got Pendulum (DJ set) @ Beta on Friday and if you’re in the mountains looking for a bass fix Demon, Coult-45, Caustik & Curlyone are taking over The Tap House in Steamboat Springs on Saturday!! Drink plenty of water, eat your veggies and stretch those legs because I predict that we will once again be sore come Sunday morning :)

(Macabre Unit Digital) Tour w/ Demon & Biome and last but not least Euphonic Conception’s has the first night of Sonic Blossom w/ Bluetech @ Cervantes. I must say that we are definitely are very lucky here in Denver. There’s such a variation of dubstep that is out there and it is really cool that we can appreciate and get down to it all. I was at the second night of Datsik @ The Ogden in June and at the end of the show he jumped on the mic and said “I fucking love you Denver, you guys are so educated. You dance to minimal shit, drum and bass, dubstep, moombah, trap, house, electro… THATS WASSUP!”.

The Denver crowd really is special . Ive been at shows where artists such as  Dillion Francis, Terravita, Reid Speed and 12th Planet, to name a few, have said said something similar and the crowd goes absolutely insane! So whether you want some hard Canadian bass, some heavy UK wobbles or some “Wookie Whomp” you’re in the right city to feed all that. Just make sure you drink water, have a sober ride home and a jacket, no one like to be blacked out, cold and in jail 😉 Stay safe kids
